항상 말씀으로 무장합시다

   말씀으로 준비되어 있으면 유혹을 받을 때 큰 도움이 됩니다. 말씀은 “성령의 검”이라고 불립니다(엡6:17). 영적 전쟁에서 말씀과 같은 무기가 없습니다. 위험한 때에 밖에 나가는 사람들은 검 없이 다니지 않습니다. 우리는 위험에 처해 있습니다. 그러므로 성령의 검을 휘두를 필요가 있습니다. 성경의 말씀으로 준비되어 있을수록, 우리가 싸워야 할 전투와 시험에서 훨씬 더 유리합니다. 마귀가 그리스도를 공격하려고 왔을 때, 항상 성경 말씀이 준비되어 있으셨기에, 그 말씀으로 유혹자를 물리치셨던 것입니다. 말씀이 우리 안에 있고, 그 말씀을 유효 적절하게 사용하고 있다면 사탄에겐 들어올 수 있는 문이 닫혀 있게 되어 쉽게 들어올 수 입구를 발견할 수 없게 됩니다.

  

   “청년들아 내가 너희에게 쓴 것은 너희가 강하기 때문이니,”그들의 힘은 어디에 있습니까? “이는 하나님의 말씀이 너희 안에 거하시며 너희가 흉악한 자를 이기었음이라”(요일2:14). 아는 것뿐만 아니라, 마음 속에 깊이 새겨질 정도로 우리 안에 말씀을 갖고 있으면 큰 도움이 되어, 사탄의 공격에 맞서 더 힘있게 저항할 수 있습니다. 사람이 말씀을 잊어버리거나 말씀에 대한 애정을 잃어버리면 죄에 빠져들기 쉽습니다.

 

 

   It is a great relief against temptations to have the word ready. The word is called, “The sword of the Spirit,”Eph. vi. 17. In spiritual conflicts there is none like to that. Those that ride abroad in time of danger, will not be without a sword. We are in danger, and had need handle to sword of the Spirit. The more ready the Scripture is with us, the greater advantage in our conflicts and temptations. When the devil came to assault Christ, he had Scripture ready for him, whereby he overcame the tempter. The door is barred upon Satan, and he cannot find such easy entrance when the word is hid in our hearts, and made use of pertinently.

 

   “I write unto you, young men, because ye are strong.”Where lies their strength? “And the word of God abideth in you, and ye have overcome the wicked one.”1 John ii. 14. Oh, it is a great advantage when we have the word not only by us, but in us, engrafted in the heart; when it is present with us, we are more able to resist the assaults of Satan. Either a man forgets the word, or hath lost his affection to it, before he can be drawn to sin.
